CBC – People Let’s Stop the War
CBC was Vietnam’s most popular band in the 1960′s and 1970′s. This is live footage of the band playing at the nightclub Sherwood Forest in Saigon. The band was forced to leave Vietnam in secrecy to avoid prosecution in 1974. Their story is amazing and you can read all about it at the beginning of this video.

I saw them many times in Saigon…at the CBC club. I was there the night of the bombing, April, 1971. 2 people were killed in the blast, a bar girl, and an Air Force guy. His name was John Glover and he is memorialized on the Vietnam Wall. The CBC band moved to another location, but it wasn’t the same vibe as the original club. Incredible video and amazing to see what happened to them. Often wondered, as we all knew they wanted to come to the U.S. and play their music. Thanks for the post.
